EINDHOVEN, Netherlands. 01-Feb-2007. Mobilnova has made watching videos on all-in-one navigation systems even easier than before with their new version of the Media Center for TomTom with DVD support.
Thanks to the strongly improved user interface it is now possible to select and play videos with a simple touch of a button. All your videos are available in one list on your TomTom device.
Mobilnovas Media Center is the first software for playback of video content that supports all TomTom integrated portable GPS navigation devices: GO, GO 300/500/700/510/710/910, One, One New Edition and Rider*, and all TomTom accessories like Remote Control and Permanent Docking Kit.
Media Center software from Mobilnova can be used in the car or on the road for play back of movies, (music) videos, presentations, TV programs, and film trailers. This program is ideal for TomTom users who travel frequently or long, such as businessmen who would like to optimally use their time, parents, and of course their kids in the back of the car.
How does it work?
Media Center software acts as a video player, and allows playback of pre-converted video files. The bundled conversion tool facilitates converting video content from various formats. The conversion options include batch compression, video quality and size tuning, subtitles, cropping, test conversion, and default audio level boosting. The compressed movie file can be played back from the flash memory card or from the built-in hard disk.
The conversion software runs under Windows OS (XP/2000/2003). The software can convert video content from various formats (such as AVI, MPEG1, MPEG4, DivX, XVID)** which can be uploaded on TomTom devices via the USB connection or a SD card reader.

Supports all TomTom accessories: Remote control and TomTom Permanent Docking Kit for all compatible models

Has intuitive onscreen display: Pause, Stop, Seek, Volume, Mute, Brightness, Contrast, Audio/Video synchronization
Extras: External headphones support, automatic restart from the last movie position, automatic volume level saving/restoring, user defined themes/skins and commands support.
Video converter features:
Supports various video types: DivX (.avi), XViD (.avi), MPEG-2 (.mpg), MPEG-4 (.mpg), Apple QuickTime (.mov), Real Video (.rm) and many others
Multilingual user interface: English, French, Dutch, German, Italian, and Spanish
Extras: Video preview on PC, DVD conversion, Test conversion option.
