New Windows Tool "RAR File Open Knife" opens RAR Archives faster

RAR File Open Knife is not a Swiss Army Knife. It is rather like a sharp steak knife: very specialised and efficient. The Windows utility only opens RAR archives, but that is done as fast as possible. Since RAR archives are the most common compression format on the Web, due to the fact that it compresses media files better than ZIP, there is a huge number of users who can benefit from the tool's efficiency on a regular basis.

"RAR File Open Knife is a fresh idea; the program offers free extraction with ease. The progress reporting has been minimized thus saving CPU time which makes RAR Knife extract archives faster than other programs that give fancy but unwanted progress feedback." said Philipp Winterberg, the developer. "In performance tests RAR File Open Knife was 2-11% faster than 7-Zip etc."

Users can open a RAR file by drag 'n' drop, double click or shell integrated context menu. To speed the process up, RAR File Open Knife has the option to define a default output folder and a default password. If selected, RAR File Open Knife automatically creates new subfolders for each RAR archive it opens. The new folders are named automatically after the archive being opened.

The program interface is very simple, consisting only of one main screen with short instructions on how to extract files and the option to choose an output folder. This free and fast windows tool is a handy addition to the toolboxes of all users who want fast and reliable RAR extraction.
