Multimedia Training Soon Available in Downtown Chicago

Ascend Training will soon be making their state-of-the-art multimedia training workshops available to downtown Chicago as well as expanding their Deerfield, Illinois facility.

October 14, 2004 -- In addition to adding a new Chicago River North location later this year, Ascend Training is currently expanding their Deerfield, Illinois facility. The addition will create larger, more comfortable multimedia training classrooms to help foster an environment conducive to learning. The entire Deerfield location will be expanded and remodeled starting at the first of the year.

Ascend is the only certified Macromedia, Adobe, Quark and Avid multimedia training facility in the Midwest, and serves as an Avid testing center for those who wish to obtain their Avid re-certifications along with the new Avid Xpress Pro Certified User or Operator certification. All multimedia training instructors at Ascend undergo rigorous testing to obtain certification in their fields. “Our instructors are encouraged to take classes themselves and even do freelance work,” says Jori Curry, President and instructor at Ascend Training. “This way, they gain a special perspective to better understand the needs of their students.”

Ascend’s two- to four-day multimedia training workshops provide each student with their own independent PC or Mac workstation. The fully-certified multimedia training courses offered by Ascend Training include graphic design workshops using current programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, desktop publishing with Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress, web development using Macromedia Flash, ColdFusion and Dreamweaver, and nonlinear editing and effects using Avid DV/Pro, Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere.

The new downtown offices in the River North area will make Ascend Training’s multimedia training workshops more accessible to the metro Chicago and southern suburban areas. With certified multimedia training courses that use the latest products employers are seeking and a new convenient location, Ascend Training seeks to provide the highest quality multimedia training in the Chicago area.
