Jerusalem March 31, 2004 -- With the DX KVM system Minicom introduces a new concept of multi-functional and unified management for the IT manager operating in high-density server environments.
From now on user management, server management, power management and serial control are all managed out-of-band through one powerful interface without any distance limitations.

Remote KVM IP Access
The Smart IP Link is the economical way for users to remotely access and control servers directly or via KVM switching systems. It provides highly secure, pure hardware remote access, at a very attractive price. And is geared to companies seeking BIOS-level remote access solution, and for embedded systems needing to offer 24/7, lights-out support for manufacturing, security, POS, and similar.
Minicom will also be showing the sleek, 1-U sized Smart CAT5 switch line of 8 and 16 port, rack mountable KVM switches, offering state-of-the art CAT5 technology for the mainstream market at lower prices than cumbersome coax solutions.
On the video distribution side, Minicom will be showcasing the CAT5 Audio Video Display System (AVDS) the ultimate solution for distribution of video over CAT5 in any type of digital signage application such as post offices, shopping malls, night clubs, train or bus stations and the like.
