Mini-Tools Solves Big Problems with .NET Components

CINCINNATI, Ohio January 19, 2006 --- Mini-Tools™, a software company specializing in .NET components, announces the availability of two new components for Microsoft® .NET developers: Mini-Comm v1.0 provides interprocess communications, and Mini-XMenus v2.0 provides custom Windows® Explorer context menus. All Mini-Tools components come with a sample program to evaluate the component with no programming required, C# and Visual Basic .NET sample code and templates to get started quickly, and a detailed help file and API reference guide. Mini-Tools components may be distributed royalty-free with customers' applications.

"With these new Mini-Tools components, C# and VisualBasic developers can save weeks or months on some of the more tricky aspects of .NET programming," said Timm Martin, Mini-Tools President and CTO. "Our customers can avoid all that nasty COM code and system programming, and can instead focus on the business problem at hand."

Mini-Comm Features

Mini-Comm is a .NET component that enables C# and Visual Basic .NET developers to share text and data between processes running on the same computer. Mini-Comm can also ensure that only one instance of an application is running at a time. Mini-Comm includes a full messaging system to track and communicate with other processes, and a control panel for developers to monitor and debug interprocess communications and even add messages to the system while it is running.

Mini-XMenus Features

Mini-XMenus is a .NET component that adds custom menu items to the Windows Explorer context menu. Menu items can be selectively shown based on which items are selected in Explorer. Menu items can include custom icons, fonts and colors, sub-menus, separators and help tips. Explorer menu items may also be drawn from scratch with full OwnerDraw support.

Product Availability and Pricing

Mini-Comm v1.0 and Mini-XMenus v2.0 are available for $99 for one developer license. Enterprise licenses and original C# source code are available at an additional cost. Price includes a one year Subscription, which provides priority email and web-based support, all major and minor upgrades, and full access to all Mini-Tools web resources including FAQs, downloads, knowledgebase and online community.
