Media Sales Giant The Media Initiatives Group Appoints Egovision To Design New ID, Promotional Material and Suite Of Websites

LONDON, UK August, 2003 -- Media Initiatives, Europe's largest "narrowcast" media sales house, http://www.initgroup.com have selected online strategy, design and development agency Egovision http://www.egovision.com, to deliver their new corporate ID and website.

The Media Initiatives Group is Europe's largest "narrowcast" media sales house specialising in the sale of ambient, online and face to face direct media products to both media buying agencies and marketing clients. Their clients include BAA, Claranet, Maiden Outdoor, Railtrack and TDI.

Egovision were appointed in May 2003, with the initial work resulting in the completion of all elements relating to web design and the new group logo at that stage. The new group identity will debut late July 2003 with the new business cards and stationary representing the Media Initiatives Group’s recent change of address.

The work will involve re-designing the group identity and associated stationary off and online including business cards, letterheads, compliment slips and email signatures. It will also include one of the divisional company identities, online sales division e-type.

In addition to this, Egovision will be re-designing the group and company websites to be developed by Media Initiative Group’s in-house developer. The company websites are to be built according to templates and guidelines provided by Egovision and will utilise a “channel selector” navigational tool. Offline print work also includes the design of a glossy brochure to help promote the group brand and divisional companies.

Alan Greaney, Managing Director, at Media Initiatives Group, explains what they required Egovision to achieve, “The existing web presence has grown organically, as the group has launched new divisional companies and expanded the overall service line. The primary requirement was to deliver a suite of sites that are complimentary and help drive traffic horizontally between our sites. Our approach to this was to develop a consistent style that would work across the board, without being too restrictive for a diverse group of companies. This has been supported by a simple “channel selector” element that allows site visitors to easily navigate across the company sites as well as directly by service line.

We were equally impressed with Egovision’s offline work, and are confident that they will deliver stationery and promotional material which delivers our core message and brand across all necessary mediums.”

John Lyons, Interactive Director at Egovision, comments why they have picked up with design and development work, “We were able to communicate a clear understanding of the problem and supplied a series of innovative solutions in our initial proposal. Our work with the BBC, particularly developing guidelines and templates to be used across large channel sites, helped in demonstrating our experience with similar issues.”

Lyons adds, “It’s exciting to be in a position to develop a completely new visual language for an established and successful client. Generally, you only get such a blank canvas with a start-up, or have to battle against committees, but Media Initiatives Group have allowed us a great deal of freedom, and been dynamic enough to understand what we are trying to achieve. We are very pleased to have been given the opportunity to do this.”
