Magmic Opens New Realm of Connected Gaming for Color BlackBerry(TM)
Magmic made its foray into color BlackBerry gaming with the release of a suite of classic card games: Blackjack, Klondike, Hearts, Frecell and Cribbage and will follow up with new releases on an ongoing basis. Ottawa, Canada December 4, 2003 - Magmic, a leading global
developer of cell phone games, announces the launch of its portfolio
for color BlackBerry Handhelds(TM).
Magmic made its foray into color BlackBerry gaming with the release of a
suite of classic card games: Blackjack, Klondike, Hearts, Frecell and
Cribbage and will follow up with new releases on an ongoing basis.
The games can be downloaded and purchased over-the-air or at Magmic's
web site at www.magmic.com.
The BlackBerry Handheld makes for an interesting connected experience
for gamers. One of the games now released - Blackjack - takes card
gaming to a new realm of interaction allowing users to compete worldwide
for total earnings. Players currently compete for top cash out and net
earnings and can view those results inside the game or on Magmic's web
site.
"Connected young professionals can now challenge other players on their
color BlackBerry while waiting for a plane or traveling by train" said
John Criswick, President of Magmic.
Magmic's current gaming portfolio will be rolled out to BlackBerry users
through Q1 2004. In addition, several new titles are forthcoming
including turn-based multiplayer games and soon to be released
massively multi-player games.
