Lightning Strikes Twice: MetaTrieval Software Brings Database Metadata Search Engine to Excel
Though the ubiquitious Relational database has now been in existence for a full generation or more, never before has there been an efficient solution to the "hard problem" of metadata search and data-discovery for them. First with MetaTrieve, and now with MetaTrieveXL, this bottleneck has finally been broken. The result is a duo of products that allow information- seeking users throughout virtually any company or organizational department to easily and intuitively close the loop between being able to initially discover where data is located and then query the data once found.

Like its predecessor, MetaTrieveXL is the first and ONLY vendor-neutral, enterprise-wide, natural-language metadata search engine for relational databases, providing huge productivity gains for business and IT users in locating company data for data discovery, data mining, data integration and information querying, reporting and other imperatives. MetaTrieveXL offers an easy-to-use interface, dynamic synonym matching and customizable search criteria. With MetaTrieveXL, locating data elements throughout distributed and heterogeneous Relational database environments need no longer be the time-consuming effort it has been in the past.
Existing users of the MetaTrieve search engine have found that it provides a low learning curve, intuitive ease of use, low total-cost-of-ownership and dramatic productivity benefits!
Continuing with its dual business-development strategy, MetaTrieval Software, LLC reiterates the availability of the MetaTrieve search engine in object-code format for technology-licensing purposes.
