LAZERQUICK Partners with Glow Networks for High-Speed Wireless Internet Service
Portland, Oregon July 27, 2004 -- LAZERQUICK announced today that it had partnered with Glow Networks to deploy wireless Wi-Fi (802.11b) Hot Spot service to corporately owned LAZERQUICK locations in Oregon and Washington.
LAZERQUICK customers can now use Glow Network's Hot Spot service to access the Internet from their wireless enabled devices at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps. LAZERQUICKs customers can also use the Glow Network's Hot Spot service in conjunction with LAZERQUICK's web based "File Upload Utility," an easy and quick way to transfer digital files to LAZERQUICK at no charge.
"Wireless Internet access isn't new; beyond accessing the Internet what differentiates our deployment is that customers can use it to transfer files to LAZERQUICK at no charge. We now have wireless access in the majority of our locations. We see this technology as a complement to a number of web based initiatives we're currently working on, keeping LAZERQUICK at the forefront front of technology," says Matt Sayre, LAZERQUICK's Director of Technology.
LAZERQUICK customers can subscribe to Glow Networks Hot Spot via the web, from the splash page that is loaded after connecting. The service costs $24.99 a month for unlimited access, $2.99 for 60 minute access and $1.99 for 25 minute access.
"We're pleased to have the opportunity to incorporate Glow Hot Spot's in LAZERQUICK locations," says Tom Adams, Glow Networks CEO. "LAZERQUICK is a company with strong commitments both to technology and to providing their customers innovative productivity enhancing solutions as such, Glow Network's Hot Spot solutions are a perfect fit."
