Klatu Engages NextLinx for Export Compliance Screening
April 29, 2004--Exporters require an accurate and dependable compliance solution. Companies and individuals who export to restricted parties or fail to obtain required export license may face fines, loss of export privileges and criminal prosecution. U.S. Customs and the Bureau of Industry and Security have increasingly emphasized the importance of accurate and comprehensive screening of exported items and the parties to the transaction.
By partnering with NextLinx and integrating NextLinxs compliance content into Klatu's eCom platform, Klatu provides a more complete solution to companies that license its e-commerce solutio.
Klatu's e-commerce solutions will perform required real-time screening of parties in the export transaction. By screening against the various U.S. government restricted parties lists, the exporter is assured that they do not export to a banned party. Export License screening alerts the exporter to the license requirements or exemption based on the destination country. Compliance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations is ensured.
NextLinx has provided compliance and global trade solutions for over 8 years to Global 1000 companies, including freight forwarders, carriers and brokers. By combining NextLinx's denied parties and licensing screening with Klatu's comprehensive product classification process, we provide a complete export compliance solution.
