JUDY'S TENKEY v5.0 MAJOR RELEASE - "Figures" to be even better than previous version, winner of Ziff Davis Award for Desktop Accessory of the Year
SAN JOSE, CA — Judy’s Applications has released the long-awaited upgrade to Judy’s TenKey(tm), previous winner of the Ziff Davis Award for Desktop Accessory of the Year. Judy’s TenKey is a top-of-the-line Windows calculator, used by hundreds of thousands of laptop users, professional accountants, financial institutions, and general desktop computer users. The new version 5.0 adds to its “auto-magic” recalculating tape a number of improvements including multi-level undo, optional sounds, and Vista compatibility.
"The number of people still using desktop calculators, or for that matter, the primitive calculator that ships with Microsoft Windows, is simply amazing to me," says Judy Lemos, President of Judy’s Applications. Major features of Judy’s TenKey include an editable tape that automatically recalculates when you make changes, intelligent integration with other standard Windows applications (for example, you can quickly add numbers in a Microsoft Word document), and even a 'Tip of the Day.' Of course, Judy’s TenKey original claim to fame is that users can quickly configure their own 'custom' calculator, choosing which buttons to show on the screen, how to interpret user typing (as an adding machine, RPN, or standard calculator), how to display numbers (decimal points, red negatives), and much more.
Major new capabilities for version 5.0 include Windows Vista support, a multi-level undo capability, optional keyboard sounds, and a customizable toolbar with icons for new functions, including increase/decrease decimal digits, plus quick access to commands such as keep-on-top and print. Version 5.0 also supports MSI installation for large corporate environments, which is important for Judy’s TenKey corporate customers, some of whom have thousands of seats.
