J2EE SIP Presence and Proxy Server and SIP Development Platform Source Code Available for $9,500

The administrator of the former nLoci Corporation has authorized the sale of the source code to the company's J2EE SIP Presence and Proxy Server and SIP development platform for $9,500 per copy.

Philadelphia, PA July 13, 2004 -- The trustee administering the affairs of the former West Chester, PA, based nLoci Corporation announced the availability for purchase of the source code to the company's flagship product Atrium Server, an enterprise-class J2EE SIP Presence and Proxy Server and development platform for next-generation communications applications based on the Session Initiation Protocol. In return for a one-time fee of $9,500, purchasers will receive all components of the product, including all source code and all documentation, and an unlimited, worldwide, nonexclusive license to use the product, resell it, create derivative works, etc.

"The trustee's responsibility is to monetize the assets of the corporation," said Paul Maschmeyer, Esq., counsel to the trustee. "The trustee has determined that there is considerable value in the intellectual property of the company, specifically in its flagship product Atrium Server. Organizations and individuals interested in acquiring or using SIP technology for any reason—product development, internal or external service delivery, education—will find the offer compelling. Purchasers will receive extremely good value for their $9,500: the source code to a highly capable software product that would otherwise take many hundreds of thousands of dollars—if not millions—to create from scratch. We expect the offer to generate substantial interest in the commercial and academic SIP, VoIP and IP communications communities."

"At the time nLoci ceased trading," Maschmeyer continued, "Atrium Server was being evaluated by over 150 organizations, several of which were in discussions with the company to acquire licenses for the product. Unfortunately the company's capital ran out before that happened, but as a result we're able to offer at an astonishingly low price the source code to the world's first J2EE SIP Presence and Proxy Server and SIP development platform."
