Intelliant OCR is an optical character recognition commandline utility, able
to convert scanned images into a searchable PDF format, including both image
and text in a same standard container.

Based on Tiger OCR engine (ocr.com), it is remarkably fast, light (the
installator weighs only 5 Mb) and the recognition is quite accurate for
european languages. Thanks to Cognitive Enterprises cheap runtime fee
policy, we are now able to incorporate OCR capabilities into our customer
applications for a fraction of the usual price.

Above all, Intelliant OCR is a commandline application, thus it can be
easily integrated in available document management systems. As a
demonstration, we provide configuration files allowing developers to plug
Intelliant OCR "out of the box" into Alfresco ECM and use it within basic
content rules (for example, transform to PDF all TIFF images dropped into a
specific folder).

Although you can find a lot of popular solutions on the market, we believe
that our approach can simplify the whole development and administration
process, providing a single point of control within Alfresco repository
interface for all organization content rules.
