DB Software Laboratory announces the release of Active Business Intelligence Portal v3.1.6, an integrated solution for designing and deploying reports and web forms over the internet and intranet. The program optimizes information life cycle by excluding extraction, transformation and load processing from it. It provides minute-by-minute insight into business activities and ensures data consistency throughout the enterprise. Active BI Portal is an affordable and easy-to-use solution that improves the overall efficiency of enterprise management.
Active BI Portal enables all information users to log in to a data repository through customizable interface of a web portal. Implementation of a user roles security model allows assigning levels of access to each user group member, be it a shop floor, a power user, or even a customer. The Active BI Manager module, an integral part of the solution, helps personalize workplace and assign a list of documents to each user based on their user group rights and membership. The server side of Active BI Portal presents a collection of PHP scripts that can effectively run on Windows, UNIX or Linux. Such design ensures higher flexibility of the solution and easy integration into any existing IT architecture.
In addition to comprehensive management capabilities, Active BI Manager features a choice of tools to speed up the design and deployment of reports and web forms. Dedicated wizards guide you through report and form building to save time and effort. Repository Creation Wizard also helps connect to a database and use it as a data repository. Active BI Portal supports all major commercial or open source databases. Integrated SQL Builder, which is a part of Active BI Manager, provides all the necessary assistance with complex SQL statements design and supports unions and sub queries. Finally, a built-in HTML editor and a collection of themes help finalize and refine the design of your portal. Active BI Portal is a standalone solution that optimizes the use of business data and helps swiftly adjust to a changing business environment.
