IBackup Unveils Advanced Online Storage Functionality Including Versioning, Check-In/Check-Out and an Upgrade to Network Drive Technology

WOODLAND HILLS, CA May 3, 2004 -- IBackup (www.ibackup.com), a leading online storage and backup service provider, has announced availability of its flagship browser based data management product, Web-Manager with advanced functions.

Web-Manager now supports advanced online storage functions that are only found in enterprise class content management systems. The new features include versioning and check-in/check-out for real time collaboration. The new features are consistent for the entire browser session, including Web Folders. In addition, the search functions are now improved to search based on file names and file content using a proprietary indexing technology called IBSearch , with lightening speed results even for large GB accounts.

Other recent IBackup enhancements include an upgrade to IDrive Plus, IBackup’s Network Drive Technology. While competing services do back ground downloading of files first to simulate Network Drive feel, IDrive Plus works directly with the remote Ibackup account minimizing access time for large office files. In addition, it now does wire compression that improves performance by a significant factor.
