HexaLock Launches Version 2.8 of Their Suite of CD Copy Protection Products at ECTS, London, UK
HexaLock, Ltd., a leader in CD Copy Protection technology and digital rights management solutions, released Version 2.8 of its CD copy protection product line today at the ECTS Show, London, UK. This version represents a substantial improvement in performance and offers a wider range of protection solutions, while at the same time, offering easier integration and use, said John Stevens, HexaLock Vice President, Business Development.
London, UK and Basking Ridge, NJ August 27, 2003 -- HexaLock, Ltd., a leader in CD Copy Protection technology and digital rights management solutions, released Version 2.8 of its CD copy protection product line today at the ECTS Show, London, UK.
This version represents a substantial improvement in performance and offers a wider range of protection solutions, while at the same time, offering easier integration and use, said John Stevens, HexaLock Vice President, Business Development. HexaLock technology can now be used to create copy protected CD-R as well as CD-ROM. This new release is specifically designed to provide game developers with the strongest available copy protection for their fall releases.
HexaLock will be demonstrating their upgraded product line at Booth # 1160 at the ECTS Show. Demo CDs containing the latest HexaLock CD-ROM and CD-R copy protection toolsets will be available at their booth.
HexaLock CD-ROM Protection Suite version 2.8 offers publishers:
- Easy implementation of HexaLock CD-ROM copy protection via the use of a Software Developers Kit (SDK), Auto-Lock Utility or Auto-Lock Wizard.
- Improved signature design, particularly for combating cloning /copying software.
- Automatic protection of .exe files contained within selected installers.
- Full compatibility with new productivity tools designed for use in EclipseSuite Mastering Modules; Rimage Producer II CD-R Duplicators and Microtech Duplicators.
- New and easy to use Toolsets for creating a copy protected CD-RX Media.
- Functional enhancements and improved analysis tools.
HexaLock CD-ROM copy protection is easily implemented by Licensed Publishers via the use of a Software Development Kit (SDK) or Auto Lock Utility or Wizard and requires no hardware modifications or quality assurance procedure changes at Authorized Replicators, said Eyal Cohen, HexaLock CTO. It was essential that we maintained the ease of use and integration characteristics of our products as we upgraded them to version 2.8.
