Great Minds in Gaming Form New Venture - Diversion Group Excels at High End Game Development

Some of the greatest minds in game development and experts in flash programming came together to form a new gaming company. The Diversion Group, announced last week at the Computer Game Developers Conference in San Jose, opens its doors with a talent pool that collectively boasts more than 60 years of experience in game development.

San Jose, CA April 1, 2004 -- Some of the greatest minds in game development and experts in flash programming came together to form a new gaming company. The Diversion Group, announced last week at the Computer Game Developers Conference in San Jose, opens its doors with a talent pool that collectively boasts more than 60 years of experience in game development.

Individuals on the team contributed to some of gaming's biggest brands, including the popular Sim line from Maxis (The Sims, SimCity 2000, SimAnt, etc.) and classic titles like California Games, World Games and many titles from Sega of America. Together, the Diversion Group developers have an extensive portfolio of online games, advergames (interactive branding), and offline games.

Their most recent project, JA Titan, convinced the team to pool resources in a concerted effort to win even more challenging projects. JA Titan, developed for Junior Achievement and sponsored by Best Buy, is a nationally recognized business simulation for high school students.

The Diversion Groups business strategy is two-fold: they will develop games on a contract basis for consumer goods, education and entertainment companies, and they will also do independent development of games for "self-publication". They also specialize in the deployment of games onto a variety of platforms, including phones and PDAs.
