GEAR Software Releases GEAR Video 8, with New Video Capabilities
Tequesta, FL (11/21/2005) - GEAR Software today announced the release of GEAR VIDEO 8.0, with a long list of new audio and video capabilities.
GEAR VIDEO makes it easy to create DVD-Video discs from your home movies. Simply connect your camcorder to your PC, and transfer the video. GEAR can also capture video from webcams and video capture boards. GEAR Video makes it easy to capture home movies from your camcorder. A real-time preview of video and audio is displayed on screen, and you can capture multiple clips while the video continues to play. You can even plug or unplug devices while GEAR is running!
GEAR VIDEO includes a fast, high quality video encoder for DVD, VCD, or SVCD. GEAR Video allows you to compress the video as much as necessary to fit your projects onto a DVD. You can prepare video captured from a webcam, camcorder, or with Windows XP Media Center Edition". GEAR Video can also convert files downloaded in DivX" format.
GEAR VIDEO provides automatic creation of DVD Menus with video thumbnails from each movie. Creating DVDs couldn't be easier. Just add your videos to a DVD project, give each title a name, and press "create"! GEAR can burn your DVD movies to any recordable DVD format, including dual layer DVDs. Both single layer and dual layer DVD recording is supported.
GEAR Video is capable of recording and editing audio, creating audio CDs, ripping CD-Audio tracks, and converting audio files to WAV, MP3, WMA, MPA, or OGG format. You can also back up your hard drive, and create CD-ROM or DVD-ROM titles of any type.
