For Integrating Computer Technology In The Classroom, Premio Computer, Inc.’s ranking as a vendor to the education market moved up to number 7 according to a quarterly statistics released by an independent market research group.

August, 2003 -- Premio Computer, Inc.’s ranking as a computer vendor to the U.S. education market moved up to number 7 for the second quarter of 2003 from number 8 in the first quarter, according to a quarterly statistics report released on August 8 by an independent market research group. The new position reflects an increase in shipments from the previous quarter, and marks the company’s eleventh consecutive quarter as a top 10 vendor to the education market.

The report, which ranks vendors by shipments of desktop PCs, mobile PCs and servers, listed Premio ahead of Toshiba, Systemax and Micron. Also listed were Dell Computer, Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard, Gateway, IBM and Acer. This quarter is the first time researchers have included detailed data on unbranded “white box” systems to more accurately measure the entire PC market.

“Education is a very important market for Premio, and we are delighted to be included in the top 10 once again,” says Tom Tsao, Vice President of Premio Computer. “This report shows that Premio is continuing to establish itself as an excellent alternative to other major technology vendors, particularly within this market.”

In addition to providing top-quality technology solutions for schools, Premio also supports education through programs, partnerships, donations, seminars, funding assistance and internships. Premio is a major supporter of the Intel® Model School Program, working closely with Whitney High School in Cerritos, California to help establish it as a model for technology integration. Premio is also the maker of eSembler for Education™, an innovative web-based application for managing student information within a K-12 environment, helping educators meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind.
