Filedoyen Integrates File and Zip Management with Text Editing

Cowtec today announces the release of Filedoyen 1.0. Filedoyen is a file and archive manager with an integrated text and code editor, image viewer and search tool. By integrating these usually separate tools into one, Filedoyen makes file management both convenient and easy.

Central to the program is the file manager. Designed to allow files to be opened with a single click into the editor, viewer or archive manager, the file manager includes features such as path bookmarking and copying, easy nested folder creation and a second file manager for drag an drop copying between the two.

Filedoyen's archive manager can work with most popular compression formats including ZIP, RAR and CAB. A unique feature is that a file within an archive can be previewed in the editor or viewer with a click of the mouse, just like an uncompressed file.

The text editor features a spell checker with live spelling, a thesaurus, line numbering and syntax highlighting for a number of popular programming languages. HTML files can be viewed as code or in the built-in browser. The image viewer allows over 20 image formats to be viewed whilst the search tool can find files or text within files and then easily open the result in the editor.

Filedoyen Pricing and Availability

Filedoyen costs $34.95 (USD) and is compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP and requires Internet Explorer to be installed. The fully functional evaluation version of Filedoyen is free to try for 25 uses and is available for download from http://www.cowtec.com/files/filedoyen1e.exe
