Fast Finder eXtra Version 1.52 released

It is with great pleasure that we bring to you FFX 1.52. originally written as a tool for UNITS Ltd. (B'Kara Malta) for automated backups it has since then be re-written and adapted for public use.
First of which is FFX (Fast Finder eXtra).
A tool which can locate files quickly, But the name does not show the full power of FFX. With FFX a user can

Being fast is one thing. But FFX is also very flexible. A variety of options is available to narrow down your search; by type, by size, by creation/modification or access date. By time. Exclude and include. Containing and/or. Finding a file has never been so easy.
FFX boasts a very comprehensive log facility which shows exactly what has happened - and when; and how long it has taken to do so. If you are an administrator, this will prove very usefull especially when using the automation feature. Never underestimate the power of good logging in a baclup tool.
FFX also uses the best compression engine around - 7-zip; not re-inventing the wheel - rather using the existing 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) to do the job. And that is the hallmark of this excellent tool; rather than try to re-write already existing and well proven tools, FFX enhances the capabilities of such tools and uses them to its best advantage. Traditional .zip is also supported though it gives lower compression rates though faster compression speeds.
Another example of this is the network backup facility - which uses the well proven ROBOCOPY (by Microsoft) which is rarely used by regular users as it is command line based. FFX takes the mystery out of ROBOCOPY and uses it transparently.
But this is not all; FFX also offers simple automation and explorer integration to work faster and more efficiently. Saving a task as "Default" allows immidiate execution of FFX using the righ-click button (explorer integration) and choosing FFX this folder the default task is applied to that folder. This helps in automatic repetitive tasks.
Following the trend of portability, FFX is fully portable; Intalls on a pendrive. No complex installation precudres or pre-requisistes. Just the FFX folder and its INI file and you are ready to go - perfect for the network administrator who is always on the move.
But FFX has an eye for practicality as well; usually people don't just want to find files; but they also want to delete them, or copy them, or have a log of them, or back them up. FFX can do all this - a known fact; but what is not so known is that FFX can do them all in one go; With 1 click search, copy, syncronize, archive, backup and log.
