Electric Pocket Releases Ringo Pro, Ringtone Manager with New MP3 Playback, for Treo 600 Smartphones from palmOne
Electric Pockets Ringo application is the best selling ringtone manager for palmOnes Treo brand smartphones, enabling users to set personal and caller group ringtones. Today, the company has announced the availability of Ringo Pro for the Treo 600 smartphone from palmOne, featuring the new ability to play MP3 ringtones.
Munich, Germany September 28, 2004 -- Electric Pockets Ringo application is the best selling ringtone manager for palmOnes Treo brand smartphones, enabling users to set personal and caller group ringtones. Today, the company has announced the availability of Ringo Pro for the Treo 600 smartphone from palmOne, featuring the new ability to play MP3 ringtones. Ringo Pro was chosen as the Best Phone Utility in the Orange/PalmSource Smartphone Competition, held this month during the Orange Code Camp event in Poitiers, France.

Ringo Pro enables Treo 600 users to add the magic of MP3 to every call, providing them with the ability to use their favorite music as ringtones and associate tunes with specific individuals or groups of callers, said Iain Barclay, Electric Pockets Chief Product Officer. Being able to identify callers with both pictures and MP3 tunes makes Ringo a practical, and fun, add-on for the Treo.
Ringo enables Treo 600 users to establish customized ringtones for specific callers or groups of callers, and assign photographs for each caller or group. When the Treo 600 user receives a new call, the incoming caller can be identified both by a customized ringtone and their picture or some other icon. Ringtones can be installed from a SD card, purchased and downloaded "over the air" via a link to a dedicated online ringtone store, or composed with Ringos innovative Ringtone Mixer.
