Elecard Announces Release of Top-notch Multifunctional Converter Studio v.3.3 for fast and high-quality multimedia content conversion

TOMSK, RUSSIA -SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 - Elecard Devices CJSC, a leading developer of codecs and products for digital video, today announced the release of Elecard Converter Studio v.3.3, a software package for both professional and amateur conversion of media files at high-speed with superior picture quality.

Elecard Converter Studio is meant for high speed multimedia conversion to many popular formats, such as AVC/H.264, MPEG-2, Blu-Ray, HDV, DVD, DV and will be an ideal solution for such devices as Sony PlayStation3™, Apple iPhone™, Apple iPod™ of all modifications. Thanks to the Flash™ Video format support users can convert their videos into FLV files and publish them on the popular web sites, such as YouTube™, Myspace™, Yahoo!™ and others. The owners of AVCHD® Camcorders might find it a useful product, which allows them to convert the footage from their cameras into formats supported by their favorite editing software.

In the new edition developers have implemented many new features that should make the whole process of conversion faster, easier and more efficient. The Watch Folder Mode, used to scan the predefined folder for new files and add them to the task list, can now have several instances, which means the user can now make a list of folders that will be scanned simultaneously.

The feature of FTP-folder support makes it possible not only to monitor local folders but also the network folders and to automatically upload the output media files to FTP server. Plus, the application can now be bound to a certain computer, which will prevent it from running on different PCs. The improvements also include: support for AVC High 422 Profile using 4:2:2 and 4:0:0 chroma formats, subtitle insertion with DirectVobSub, Lossless transcoding of MPEG-2 streams during the logo overlay process, and many more.
