EMCO Releases New Version of Free Network Connection Monitoring Tool

EMCO Software, a provider of software solutions for computer network management, announced today a new release of noPing Inspector, the free utility for tracking connection with local and remote hosts. The new noPing Inspector 2.2, will help network administrators to make up/down state monitoring of their servers and be notified about every outage happened with them.

The latest release of noPing Inspector includes a brand new statistics module that calculates connection uptime and number of outages to provide administrators by live metrics of the connection quality. Extended notification features help administrators to be immediately informed about connection status changes by customizable desktop alerts, e-mails or SMS (SMS notifications are available through e-mail to SMS gateway of mobile operator).

"With the new release of noPing Inspector, connection monitoring should become much easier. This utility doesn't require any interaction - administrators can configure it once and let it work in 24/7 mode to send notification if connection is lost and should be fixed", said Emil Thor Jonsson, CTO at EMCO Software. "But the main feature appeared in the noPing Inspector 2.2 is an ability to execute custom actions on connection ups and downs. It allows administrators to fix the connection automatically immediately when the connection lost is detected", he added.

Availability
EMCO Ping Monitor is available as a fully-functional freeware. It can run under Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and other desktop and server Windows x86 and x64 platforms.
