February 27, 2006 - Dekart (www.dekart.com) has released version 2.07 of Dekart Private Disk, a powerful and flexible data protection program that includes Dekart's innovative Disk Firewall mechanism - a unique technology that makes your files as safe as they could possibly be.

Disk Firewall shields files from viruses and other malware even if your antivirus or antispyware program fails to protect the system. Now you can create a white-list of applications, only these programs will be allowed to access the contents of the encrypted drive. This feature protects your data from external threats, as well as internal ones: group leaders can be sure that employees are able to access sensitive information while doing their job, but they cannot copy it, or use third-party software to alter corporate data.

Private Disk extends the life of your USB flash disk, by applying caching mechanisms whenever the contents of the disk are processed.
