Darim’s Advanced Security Products Define New Breed of Internet Enabled Security Appliances

Pleasanton, CA March 23, 2004--Darim Vision (www.darim.com), a leading provider of integrated MPEG Encoding, Streaming, Broadcasting, and Security Solutions, announced today a significant advancement in the company’s security systems strategy with it’s new networked version of its RECO 104® standalone, four channel MPEG 2 recorder the RECO 104 N. This new device joins the popular, feature packed RECO family of digital multi channel MPEG 2 recorders designed specifically for the security industry. The RECO 104 N’s unique network capability enables the remote access of the RECO from any network enabled location.

The RECO 104 N can be monitored via the Internet through a standard web browser without the need for additional software on any networked personal computer (PC) system. For more control, Darim’s exclusive WEBVIEW application puts all of the RECO’s front panel controls on your PC’s desktop through any Internet connection. The simple and intuitive graphical interface enables users to easily search all recorded events, change the scheduled recording order, as well as make adjustments to alarm and motion detection settings. The RECO hot swappable hard drive can be installed into any desktop PC where the RECO software can be used to view the video data or extract it for use with other applications.

The networked RECO 104 N records real-time video in MPEG 2 quality at a stunning 30 frames per second (FPS) simultaneously on four channels with network controlled monitoring. Designed to replace the traditional VCR, the RECO has a familiar VCR style front panel interface and features a hot swappable hard drive system that allows for video to be downloaded via an optional hard drive bay off-line to any desktop PC keeping unit down-time to a minimum.
