CubeRunner USA Announces GA of CubeRunner Product Suite

PHOENIX, AZ October 16 2003--CubeRunner USA announces the general availability of the CubeRunner product. CubeRunner addresses the high failure rate experienced by Cognos customers when delivering business intelligence data by automating the back office maintenance functions associated with PowerPlay cubes.

Designed exclusively for Cognos PowerPlay customers, CubeRunner is changing the way administrators manage and control creation and deployment of business intelligence data to the end user community. Through CubeRunner's Windows-based client, administrators specify the infrastructure requirements (e.g. paths, database sign-ons, Access Manager Credentials) for an individual or logical group of PowerPlay cubes. During the scheduled cube build process, CubeRunner dynamically inspects cube models for incorrect properties and, using the parameters established by the administrator, corrects the models on-the-fly, prior to Transformation processing. Using Transformer APIs, CubeRunner launches and controls the cube transformation process delivering unprecedented throughput.

Once cube models are successfully transformed into PowerCubes, the administrator schedules CubeRunner to automatically deploy the PowerCubes into the production environment. CubeRunner's deployment features automatically disable and backup the previous PowerCube version, loads the new PowerCube into the production environment and enables the PowerCube for end user access in the Cognos business intelligence platform.
