ClubSec allows secretaries to escape from the back office

August saw the release of version 1.3 of ClubSec™ - the purpose built software that improves the accuracy and efficiency of data storage for all membership clubs and allows the Secretary a chance to escape the office for more enjoyable pastures.

ClubSec is a Windows based application marketed by Lware Limited. The latest version of the software includes many new features that have been requested by club secretaries. Lware encourages input from both those that use the software and those that don’t in order for the product to continue to grow in the right directions for current and prospective users.

In fact, the company has recently created a user forum (reachable via their web page) where users can ask questions and make suggestions for features they would most like to see. As and when new features are added, updates are available to all users, free of charge via the web.

In addition to the core duties of ClubSec (storing, searching, processing member data, dealing with members joining and leaving, subscriptions etc) the latest version adds several nice touches that secretaries will find useful:

• Ability to email all members or any sub group of members (even if your email software restricts the number of addressees you can mail) and print address labels for those without an email address
• Automatic notification when an update is available to the software with automatic installation if wanted
• Inclusion of an RSS newsfeed on the ClubSec home screen. Clients may choose the newsfeed they require e.g. general news headlines or a feed from a specified site
• An Excel data importer aimed at Clubs who hold membership data in a spreadsheet. All the data can now be imported into ClubSec painlessly.

In addition to the “back office” duties, ClubSec also includes several features that could be used front of house. Examples included the Doorman function for identification of members and vehicles, the NoticeBoard for communicating club information and advertisements to members and the Games menu that provides totes, raffles and draws and bingo functions.

Richard Leyshon, speaking on behalf of Lware commented

“We are delighted that after around 15 months of consultation, development and testing that we now have the product that the users have asked for. We believe that no competing product comes anywhere close to what ClubSec has to offer and would challenge our competitors to make their products available as a free trial, as we have done, for the users to compare.”
