ChatterBlocker Masks Speech So You Can Focus on Your Work, Not Your Coworkers
Office workers with noisy neighbors will benefit from a new PC program, ChatterBlocker, that uses digital audio technology to mask the sound of unwanted speech so users can stay focused.
Developed by The Sound Guy, Inc., ChatterBlocker does not use noise cancellation. Instead it masks intrusive conversations with a soothing blend of nature sounds, music and background chatter. The goal is to render speech less intelligible, because intelligibility is often the main source of distraction.
ChatterBlocker also offers mindfulness meditation tracks intended to increase concentration, reduce distractibility and minimize the stress response to noise.
