Bond Wireless Creates Excitement With The Launch Of SMS SecureTrans At CeBIT, Hanover 2004

Bond Wireless will launch its exciting “SMS SMS SecureTransTM” at “CeBIT” Hanover 2004.

March 5, 2004 -- “SMS SecureTransTM” utilizes the patented “SMS AV or SAV Messaging” technology developed in-house by “Bond Wireless”. “SMS AV” technology enables “Bond Wireless” to solve many of the non-repudiation issues that have slowed the use of SMS (text) messaging in a commercial environment. “SMS SecureTransTM” enables an encrypted message to be sent to the target receiver via SMS (or MMS) that can only be decrypted by the combination of the receiving phones CLI and the use of a password shared between sender and receiver. The decrypted message is then sent to the receiver and a notification of successful decryption returned to the sending person or application. Dr Clarence Tan CEO of Bond Wireless says that “the outstanding feature of “SMS SecureTransTM” is that this can all take place without any modification to the SIM card or the requirements of special handsets”.

“Bond Wireless” and “Dickson Enterprises” recently commenced the integration of “SMS SecureTransTM” into “SHIP”, a leading health clinic management software to improve the operations and patient communications of a Queensland Health Clinics. The incorporation of “SMS SecureTransTM” into the clinic management software enables the medical staff to send advice of test results to customers in a secure manner. Clinic staff currently send test results to patients via certified mail, unfortunately the inherent delays in delivering certified mail increases the time between diagnosis and treatment. The introduction of “SMS SecureTransTM” into the clinic will provide the clinic with the ability to deliver time critical information to patients more efficiently, protect the privacy of the patient, establish a record of patient communications, enable treatments or follow up appointments to occur in a more timely manner and track the status of the notification more proactively. Bridget Dickson the Managing Director of “Dickson Enterprises” claims that “the addition of “SMS SecureTransTM” to their clinic solution will provide a significant benefit to health clinics in many developing nations where the incidence of sexually transmitted and other diseases is growing rapidly and where the mobile phone is the most effective means of contacting patients”.

Dr Tan highlights that ““SMS SecureTransTM” has application across the finance (trading and banking) sector, business process management and within m-commerce where it can be used to simplify the customer authorisation process”. In fact all organizations faced with the need to process the authorization of purchase orders in the shortest time possible can use “SMS SecureTransTM” to simplify their business processes. In most organizations the only alternative is to wait for the traveling executive to find the time to log into the corporate finance system and endorse the purchase order. By adding “Bond Wireless” technology and know how into this process, an organization could deliver the necessary information to the traveling executive’s mobile phone enabling authorization to occur ‘securely’ via the ”SecureTransTM” application.
