Axence nVision 4.0: discover new possibilities in network inventory and intelligent user monitoring

Axence Software, Inc., a developer of network management solutions, announces the worldwide availability of the new Axence nVision 4.0. Proactive network monitoring, hardware and software inventory, user monitoring, protection against data leaks and remote technical support - in one, centrally managed software!

Axence nVision is an advanced solution for comprehensive network management. It consists of 5 modules, which can be installed in custom combinations:

- Network: proactive network monitoring and visualization
- Inventory: hardware and software inventory
- Users: advanced user monitoring
- DataGuard: protection against data leaks
- HelpDesk: remote technical support.

The network is automatically detected and presented on interactive maps. nVision automatically collects the hardware and software information. It enables auditing and the verification of license usage. Optionally, nVision agents can monitor users activity: the actual work time, application usage, visited web pages, as well as block access to web pages. The agent also provides a remote access to the user's workstation and sets up communication with the him. The program offers a wide choice of alarms and reports (including real-time and historical charts) and browser-based access.

What is new in version 4.0:

- Better performance: the software with agents is adopted for monitoring and inventory taking in wide area networks with thousands of machines and WAN connections.

- Advanced user monitoring:
Number of visits on a website with headers and visit duration.
Accurate work time: work start and work end time, breaks.
Process monitoring: total operation time, employee work time.
Detailed lists of used software, with application usage start/end time and the list of opened documents.
Work history: cyclical screen shots.
Printout monitoring: audit by users/printers.
E-mail monitoring.

- Advanced software inventory and auditing:
Management of owned licenses (license types); license compliance report.
Easy software legality audit and notification, when the number of owned licenses is exceeded.
Automatic detection of installed applications utilizing the extensive template database.
Automatic heuristic creation of missing templates.

- Advanced hardware inventory:
System configuration: shared resources, local users and groups, S.M.A.R.T. information about the local disk drive status, routing table and much more.
Statement of owned hardware configuration, free disk space, average memory usage, etc.
Audit window allowing the selection of a system, e.g. which requires an upgrade.

- Other:
Option to block selected websites.
Remote access allowing the take over of any logged in user and the physical console.
Option: remote access and screen view only upon the user's authorization.
Central management of agent configuration by profiles.
Enhanced Windows system log monitoring.
Multiple new alarms and reports.
