Avignon Concept 2011

Version 2011 is a major version with many improvements. Check all new functionalities here.

Fully new User Interface. We deliver with this 2011 version a new user experience, showing a highly consistent view throughout the application. We are very excited about it and the extensive field testing with our selected users shows already a very high satisfaction level. On the main screens, all buttons have been grouped together giving a better handling, while full standardization across the package is completely coherent.

Photo Manager. A fully new functionality has been added : The Photo Manager. You can manage here automatically your photos (jpg files), stored on your local hard disk. Photos are shown by year, month, directory, person, place, event or you can show them all together. Synchronization with a chosen directory can be fully automatic. You can browse through your photos, select them or show them as a large photo. You can also choose to have an automatic presentation or full screen format.
New languages. Two new languages have been added to serve better our existing customer base and to target further promising markets: Spanish (Espanol) and Portuguese (Portugues). The translation has been done by Bas Eshuis, Pablo Blanco Palomino and Fatima Pereira with a great support of the Google Translator Toolkit. These two new languages bring the total now on 10 languages supported by Avignon Concept.

The weather. We have introduced a new support function, showing weather information for all your contacts and suppliers, and off course for your own location. Your own location can be updated via the 'settings' tab under Personal. The weather screens show the local time, actual weather and a 3-day forecast for the requested location.

Web communities. We have added an overview of your favourite web communities which can be accessed directly from Avignon Concept.

Google Maps. The Google Maps functions have been improved. Addresses are handled more efficiently and faster. The database speed has drastically been improved thanks to the latest version of the database format. All reports have been improved, including various small changes and corrections.

Copy function. It is now also possible for each entry to make a copy of an existing record and use it as a basis for a new entry. This new option 'copy' can be found on each screen under the 'add' button.

Help screens improved. The help screens do also have a modified look and feel, and are updated to incorporate the added functionalities.

Various improvements. On the various functionalities, the following has been implemented. Welcome: the new welcome screen shows all statistics plus an overview of the activities of the day which can be clicked to check further information. Books: the ISBN search option in books has been improved and the entry flow has been updated. Music: a new logo has been introduced. Components: a new logo has been introduced. Contacts: the main screen now also shows city and country information. Documents: on the view screen the information field is automatically enhanced. Selecting text is automatically copied to the clipboard. Many further smaller enhancements, improvements and corrections have been introduced to this release.

Background program. The background program has also received a new User Interface and takes into account the 2 added languages.

The 2011 version is fully free for already registered users.
Our fully new website has updated help functions and includes also an improved section on FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).
