Anchor Announces New Options for its USPS Certified MaxCASS System

Anchor's Geographic Coding Option provides mapping information for direct marketers to analyze business data by tying information to specific locations; Anchor's USPS approved Residential Delivery Indicator Option determines whether an address is a residential or business address for shipping packages

Rockville, MD, USA. November 4th, 2003 --Anchor Software, a leading provider of data processing software for the direct mail marketing and document design industries, today announced 2 new important options to its United States Postal Service (USPS) MaxCASS system - Geographic Coding and Residential Delivery Indicator (RDI).

Anchor's Geographic Coding Option assigns Latitude/Longitude at the ZIP+4 level, US Census Tract/Block data, Congressional District, FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) County and State Codes, County Name, Time Zone, and MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area). By adding geographic information businesses can make smarter decisions, increase efficiency, and improve their marketing campaigns by combining accurate CASS certified address information with the enhanced data for specific targeting of markets.

Anchor's RDI Option works in conjunction with data files that are licensed from the USPS to help reduce shipping costs by identifying whether a delivery address is residential or business, since some shipping companies charge costly surcharges for delivery to residences. With Anchor's MaxCASS with RDI, shippers can reduce their costs by rate shopping, reduce returns by correcting addresses, and evaluate shipping statistics to better meet the needs of their customers.
