The system is comprised of a core module that includes a software based server. The client software is streamed from the server on demand to the client computer so there is no need to load client software. This makes deployment and maintenance of the system extremely simple. When it is time to upgrade the system, simply upgrading the server automatically upgrades the end users client software as well. The system is built on Sun’s Java platform and is certified for use on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, AIX, UNIX, IRIX, and many other operating systems. The Versona Instant Messaging System also interoperates with all major public instant messaging systems including America On-Line (AOL), Yahoo, and MSN.
