[Aloaha NEWS] Aloaha revamps PKI, adds Timestamping and integrates RFC 3161 Timestamping Clients into the PDF Tools

Ibbenbueren, Germany, July 25, 2006 – Aloaha Software, an international leader and developer of PDF and digital Signature Solutions, announced today that its popular free Class 1 PKI was revamped together with the Aloaha Time stamping Server. Time stamping (RFC 3161) compatible clients have been integrated into the Aloaha PDF Suite, Aloaha PDF Saver and Aloaha PDF Signator.

Over the past years the free Aloaha Class 1 PKI became very popular for individuals requiring a free Class 1 Certificate. Started as a test PKI unfortunately it had some limitations such as missing Certificate Revocation Lists. With the revamp of pki.aloaha.com it is based now on a proper root certificate and offers also Certificate Revocation Lists. As an extra feature it supports now also RFC 3161 compatible time stamping. To be able to use the times tamping feature the TS Request has to be posted to https://pki.aloaha.com/tsa.asp. Authentication with the user credentials received in the PKI registration email is required. The Aloaha PKI has been free of charge for the past years and will remain free of charge. Of course the added time stamping capabilities are free of charge as well.

To register at our free Class 1 PKI please fill in the form at http://pki.aloaha.com. Your usercredentials and further instructions will be sent to you by mail.

All digital Signature capable Aloaha PDF Tools will include from today a RFC 3161 compatible time stamping client. This allows our user to connect Aloaha to the TSA of their choice to timestamp their signatures. Time stamping is a legal requirement in many countries. The Aloaha PDF Suite can be downloaded from http://www.aloaha.com/download/aloaha_pdf.zip and exists as Desktop, Server and Enterprise Edition.
