The end-user can create the same reports that you as the developer can create with Quickreport (and more). QRDesign has the usual features of a report designer (easy-to-use interface with full control over every report element, scaled preview, customizable, drag and drop creation of report elements etc.).

You can use hard-coded calculated fields for difficult calculations which can not be done with QuickReport's expression evaluator or QRDesign's script language
You can save and load a report's datasets in separate files from the report elements, so you can use one report with different data views etc.
You can intercept loading of the report datasets, e.g. to change SQL statements, filtering, table paths etc. on the fly
use Quickreport events like BeforePrint, OnPreview etc. with QRDesign reports too

A complete new Security Manager
The users can be grouped and can inherit rights in this way. Thereby you can integrate a highly sophisticated and close grained user management that closes all potential loopholes . Only if the user has been granted the specific right by the administrator he can see or use the specific function assigned by the administrator.
The administrator can configure the rights at run-time thereby preventing a restart of the program when changing assignments. intuitive GUI that enables the administrator to create new users or to group or delete them directly from the application
A complete skin manager and look of the applications
Drawing of components is produced in several layers, so components may be alpha-blended, can have nice realistic borders, shadows and some other beautiful effects
