A mouseless screen capture utility addresses cropping accuracy and users with disabilities

At the recent WritersUA conference in Long Beach, California, IntuitiveTools introduced IT Screen Capture Pro 3.0, a professional screen capture utility that does not require a mouse. This utility may be the first screen capture program available where region-based screen captures can be defined entirely with a keyboard.
For technical writers this means improved accuracy without using a second program to tweak final captures for camera-ready publications and online help.
For people with disabilities and difficulty using a mouse the ability to create region-define screen captures is now possible.

Common productivity problems include navigating menus to switch between tasks, the inability to modify capture regions after a preliminary preview, and easily creating profile sets for different types of jobs. Capture states were created to assist switching between a mouse and keyboard (combination state or keyboard-only state), and returning the computers focus to either the operating system or the active application (application-live state) without exiting the capture utility.
