Network File Search Increases the Protection of LAN

10-Strike Software has released 10-Strike Network File Search 1.6 for searching files on network computers shared resources and FTP servers. This easy way of sharing documents over a LAN often becomes a way for distributing viruses and other malicious software when shared folders are left unattended to. The program helps system administrators and security officers find, log, and delete necessary files on network computers.

10-Strike Network File Search scans shared folders using multi-threading technology; this helps significantly decrease the time of searching. The program can look up network computers in Microsoft Windows Network or scan a set or range of IP addresses. 10-Strike Network File Search allows viewing search results and opening found files directly from remote computers. The program can also generate and save handy HTML reports with lists of found files.

10-Strike Network File Search Pro has a built-in web server for providing web search features for network users. The Pro version can also search for files repeatedly in automatic mode. All the found files are logged and can be deleted automatically. Thus, the administrator can configure the program to find and delete malware or temporary files on network computers using hidden admin shares. Security officers can use the program for searching and monitoring confidential data on shared folders.

The new version 1.6 of the program can also search text substrings in network files. This helps identifying confidential information or malware files better and makes protecting local networks better.
