VTK Export for SpaceClaim 1.0 Publisher's description
VTK Export for SpaceClaim is a Visualization Toolkit VTK file export add-in for SpaceClaim. This add-in gives SpaceClaim the ability to export geometric data from SpaceClaim to ASCII and Binary VTK files.
VTK Export for SpaceClaim tessellates solid bodies in a SpaceClaim document into a set of triangular meshes. These meshes are then exported to a VTK file as mesh objects. The VTK file can then be imported into a variety of CAD applications.
VTK Export for SpaceClaim is very easy to use. It adds new commands to SpaceClaim. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into SpaceClaim and adds a ribbon bar to the SpaceClaim called "SYCODE" containing the newly added commands.
The 'SYCODE' ribbon bar consists of the following commands:
Export - Export a VTK file.
Help - Display the VTK Export for SpaceClaim help file.
Register - Register your copy of VTK Export for SpaceClaim.
About - Display the VTK Export for SpaceClaim About box.
The VTK File Format
The Visualization ToolKit (VTK) is an open source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization used by thousands of researchers and developers around the world. VTK consists of a C++ class library, and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. The Toolkit stores geometric data in a file format known as VTK. Very few CAD applications have the ability to read and write VTK files.
