1st Ip Port Scanner allows for testing the UDP port's status based on ICMP Destination Port Unreachable message. Because the Linux kernel (in net ipv4 icmp.h) limits destination unreachable message generation to 80 per 4 seconds, with a 0.25 second penalty if that is exceeded, the speed or the number of ports should be limited in this situation.
