UTM (Universal Traffic Manager) is a professional billing system for Internet Service Providers. The core of the system, written in C++, is a smart and reliable accounting engine working directly with network equipment. It supports up to 100,000 users at a total speed of up to 3 Gbps.

All calculations are made in real-time and (if necessary) immediately block services when a user's balance goes in the red.

The system consists of several modules. Together they allow you to account for IP-traffic, dial-up, VPN, VoIP, hotspots, etc.

UTM database backends may be MySQL and PostgreSQL. The database possesses an elaborate structure in which users may have several personal accounts, multiple currencies, various services, and accompanying data.

An adjustable traffic classifier makes it possible to set different rates, e.g. for native, foreign or a peering Internet.

The user web-interface is customizable thanks to XSLT technology.
Both the administrator and the user interface could be easily translated into any language.

UTM receives statistics about running network traffic in NetFlow format among others. It also includes a utility (NDSAD) to capture statistics at the server.

What's new in this version: 1 Traffic tarification while using dynamic distribution of IP-addresses. 2 Possibility to limit the amount of accumulated pre-paid traffic. 3 Classification and filters in the ?Buildings? area of administrator interface. 4 Possibility to set arbitrary days (e.g. holydays) when the given accounting period will be on. 5 Possibility to remove IP-pools. 6 Message informing of unsuccessful pre-paid card activation while providing Hotspot service. 7 Possibility to load large lists of local networks from a file via ?utm5_load_tc.pl? utility. 8 Possibility to reuse traffic class identifier after its removal. 9 More columns in report on modem and VPN sessions in user private cabinet. 10 Possibility to organize dial-up service via Callback.
