WaveMax Sound Editor is an ideal solution for audio editing and mastering. The program contains everything you need to create great sounding recordings and audio CDs, including professional tools for recording, analysis and editing. The WaveMax user interface was designed with speed, accuracy and ease of use in mind. A large range of high quality audio tools and effects are integrated in WaveMax Sound Editor - including tools for dynamic processing, equalizing, numerous effects such as echo, amplification, noise reduction, reverb, chorus and flanger, as well as time stretching and key transposition tools. Recordings distorted by noise, clicks, crackle, clipping or missing high frequency content can be restored.

WaveMax Sound Editor can digitize sound recordings of music cassette tapes, vinyl LPs, or videos so they can be recorded onto CD. With the Sound Recorder you can digitize recordings to your computer's hard disk, creating standard digital sound files. Timer and input level triggered recording included. With WaveMax Sound Editor you can easily edit recording or local audio files. When editing audio files, you can perform the operations like cut, copy, paste, trim, delete and more to meet your needs on the visual waveform, if required, using unlimited Undo & Redo functions to cancel and repeat the operation. WaveMax Sound Editor lets you apply 20 built-in effects and filters including delay, flanger, chorus, reverb, and more to all selected files to enhance your music. The real-time effect preview is also supported.

WaveMax Sound Editor includes its own CD ripper with 'ultra fast' rip mode and CDDB music database lookup. It means that you can directly load audio tracks from CD to the waveform for editing. The free CDDB is provided to help search the online database for possible albums that matches (the artist, CD title, album, record label, track information, etc. could be retrieved and displayed).
