Let’s analyze this software product in this unbiased review and take a closer look at its features and decide whether it is reliable or not.
Installation
The installation process of DeepBurner is simple and doesn’t cause you any hassle. It is a fast installation and the setup kit measures just 2.65 MB in size. The tool is freeware and it supports the following versions of Windows: Windows 7, Win Vista, Win 98, Win ME, Win NT 4.x, Win XP and Windows 2000. It is a lightweight tool that doesn’t come bundled with other programs and has no compatibility issues with all CD/DVD drives.
Interface
With a simple and clean interface, DeepBurner is a comprehensible and intuitive tool for burning your data on CDs and DVDs. Common tasks are done with just a few clicks and easy access to most features is provided. The interface is really basic in nature and it features a menu bar, toolbar icons and a work area where different windows can be hosted. Let’s move on to the next section of this review and see the features of DeepBurner.
Pros
Being a basic burning tool, DeepBurner has all the common features you would expect from such a piece of software. Using files from your hard drive, you can burn a data CD/DVD, an audio CD or n ISO image to an optical media. The information on the screen must be followed in order to easily burn your files. It is a very easy tool to work with. Other features include the possibility of choosing the write method, burning speed and number of copies of your CDs and DVDs. A disc with a burning session left open is detected automatically by DeepBurner and it lets you choose if you want to write it anyway or start a new session. A quick and full erase of rewritable disk can also be performed. The drag-and-drop feature is very useful and with the "Burn proof" and "Overburning" technologies, your media storages are protected.
Cons
It is a pretty straightforward and basic tool that doesn’t suit experienced users that want more control and options over their burned data. It is the perfect tool for beginners though. All in all, it works great for what it is – a free burning tool!
Alternatives
Alternatives to DeepBurner include ImgBurn, CDBurnerXP, InfraRecorder, BurnAware Free and a whole lot more burning tools out there. Some of them support HD DVDs and Blurays as well. In spite of this, they are considered on the same level as DeepBurner in terms of functions.
Conclusion
All in all, DeepBurner is a solid though basic tool that gets the job done. It has all the basic functions of a burning tool and represents the perfect choice a beginner can make. Moreover, it is a worthy choice for intermediates also. You should give it a try and convince yourself!
