The software has been created as universal software for security cross platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical form and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users view MPEG-4 coded picture and have full management of the software via network that security server can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition drastically boosts reliability because all units act as independent applications. If one component freezes, other components keep on running. For example if the `record` component stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video using a `playback` component. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote server using Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
