Windows Vista vereinfacht deutlich das Arbeiten mit dem PC. So sorgt eine benutzerfreundliche Oberfläche dafür, dass der Anwender jederzeit sofort auf die gewünschten Daten zugreifen kann. Integrierte, systemweite Suchfunktionen vereinfachen das Speichern, Auffinden, Verwalten und Organisieren wichtiger Dateien und Programme.
Damit bleiben E-Mails, Dokumente, Bilder, Videos, Musik, Spiele und Websites immer im Griff. Bei der Suche auf dem Desktop-PC braucht der Nutzer nicht mehr den Namen einer Datei zu kennen, es reicht ein Wort im Dokument, der Musikinterpret oder das Datum der Fotografie, um sie zu finden.
Damit Informationen nur einen Mausklick entfernt sind, bietet Windows Vista Minianwendungen. Diese verbinden sich mit Web Services zur Wiedergabe von ständig aktualisierten Informationsdiensten wie Wetterberichte, Nachrichten oder Internet-Radio-Programme. Sie können auch alle Instant-Messaging-Kontakte und Tagesaufgaben anzeigen sowie als Taschenrechner oder Notizzettel fungieren. Alle Minianwendungen werden über die am rechten Bildschirmrand befindliche Windows Sidebar organisiert und aufgerufen.
Jederzeit verbunden
Windows Vista-basierte Heimcomputer, Laptops oder Tablet-PCs sind nach dem Einschalten so schnell einsatzbereit wie herkömmliche Elektronikgeräte und lassen sich auch genauso schnell ausschalten. Damit können Nutzer sofort auf ihre Anwendungen zugreifen, im Internet surfen oder mit ihren Freunden und Bekannten kommunizieren.
Komfortabler Surfen
Internet Explorer 7 bietet nicht nur wichtige neue Sicherheits- und Datenschutzfeatures, sondern erleichtert auch gängige Aufgaben durch Features wie Registernavigation (Anzeige von Fenstern im Registerkartenformat), Onlinesuche und an die Blattgröße angepasste Druckvorgänge.
Gleichzeitig werden neue Tools bereitgestellt, um einen direkten Zugriff auf die gewünschten Informationen zu ermöglichen, mit integrierter Unterstützung von Webfeeds.
