Outlook plugin to run dos commands, batch files and consoles apps via commands sent in an email.
You are on the road and someone calls you with support questions, requests for help or for that one particular file which you happen to have on your PC. All you have is your blackberry or your iphone. Wouldn't it be nice if you could send commands to your PC in an email and get the results back in an email too?
Now you can. With this plugin, you can send any dos commands, batch file or console applications in an email. The plugin will execute them and send back the output. You can run any dos commands available in the windows cmd prompt. You can run any batch files which you have on your PC. You can run any console applications. You can write your own batch files, console apps or scripts to do whatever you need. You can easily attach any files on your drive and email them back to yourself.
A quick example of an email you can send to your PC: "ping 192.168.0.10;sc query webserver;attach ClientPresentation.ppt". The reply you get automatically will give you the output and attach the ppt file.

In addition, you can run batch files, console apps or scripts in response to receiving emails. It's as easy as creating a rule in Outlook to filter the emails you're interested in, and specify which batch file to run. The batch file in turn can call exes, scripts written in perl, python or any other language. You get the email as a parameter, so you can process it in the language of your choice.
The Inbox Action custom action plugin comes with a set of existing scripts which implement features like autoresponders which use templates to personalize the message, mailing list managers, scripts to allow you to save your messages to the disk and so on.
And what's even better, as more and more examples are added, these are available as a free download to all the customers. You don't have to buy a newer version to get access to new scripts. You can download new versions for free.
