Overview

Into the Dead is a classic Zombie killer game where you run for your life picking up improved weaponry as you go and doing your best to either get out of the way of the flesh eating zombies or forgetting Greenpeace and shootin' their face right off. It's really your choice.

The game is full of weapons to pick up or using in-app purchases better weapons can be sourced if you're impatient. The visuals are dark, murky and interesting. The constant running is one of the main features as the visuals blend into each other after a while, but the Zombies never let up. Deal with 10+ Zombies on screen coming right at you. Compare your highest score to the global leaderboard or just compare scores with your Facebook friends.

Installation

Installation of Into the Dead can be easily done via the iTunes store. The game is setup to run on both the iPhone and the iPad. It can be downloaded and installed from the Apple store in the normal way as any other iOS application.

The game is free to play. It has plenty of blood, guts and gore so there is a suggested age rating of 17 so that the little ones will still be able to get to sleep at night. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Interface

The menu interface has many grays, blacks and deep red representing the playing field which is dark and gloomy with plenty of blood flying around. As well as trying to ensure that you “don't get eaten,” players can connect to their Facebook account to play against their friends, and see the Leaderboard to compare their score globally with other players. The on-screen HUD during gameplay is also minimal and excellent.

Into the Dead was one of the first Zombie killer games to reach iOS. It is still highly regarded by fans of the genre and stands up to the test of time. Runs well both in iPhone and iPads (even older versions) and is good for a few hours of running, bending, firing, and finally dying. Did we mention the dying?
