Short description

Google Chrome for Linux is the best web browser Google could come up with. It is robust, fast and frequently updated for bugs and security issues. The package is cross-platform which is useful for people who wish to use the same web browser across multiple computing platforms. Most of the extensions to add new functionality to the web browser also will work with the Linux version. There are two main downsides with Chrome. The first is that the more tabs open, the more memory it eats. The second is that web sites visited are passed to Google which affects the ads that they display on web pages and at the search engine which can get a bit spooky after a while.

Google Chrome for Linux Key Features:

  • Alternative to Firefox
  • Google apps operate inside Google Chrome
  • Incognito mode for browsing without tracking
  • Multiple tabs open at the same time
  • Most Window extensions work with Linux version
  • Requires Linux

Google Chrome for Linux is an alternative to Firefox for Linux users.
