This package provides the display driver for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP users.

This package enables or updates the display function of the following IBM systems:
- ThinkPad R40, R40e
- ThinkPad R50, R50p
- ThinkPad R51 (Machine Type 1829, 1830, 1831, and 1836) (*1)
- ThinkPad T30, T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p
- ThinkPad X31

NOTES:
- (*1) Machine Type 2883, 2887, 2888, 2889, 2894 and 2895 of ThinkPad R51 family are not supported.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

Before installing version of ATI Radeon FireGL for Windows make sure this is the latest version available and that it works with your current operating system and device model. If the driver contains release notes ("readme" files) proceed with reading them first. Second recommended step is creating a restore point to help you later on in case you install the wrong device driver. Note that some drivers will work instantly after installing them, but others will require a system restart in order to function properly.

As an alternative, you can simplify the process of installing the latest versions for your drivers by using a program to scan all your drivers and compare them with the latest available versions from the manufacturers.
