Install Instructions:

1. Close all running applications, including antivirus.

2. Remove any inserted discs from the drive.

3. Download the file to a specified location.

4. Launch the executable.

5. A reboot may be required to complete the installation.

If you are updating the PX-740UF, please use the USB2.0 port instead of the IEEE1394 (Firewire port) to avoid data corruption.

Before installing version 1.02 of Plextor PX-740A Firmware for Windows make sure this is the latest version available and that it works with your current operating system and device model. If the driver contains release notes ("readme" files) proceed with reading them first.
